Who We Are

Bitton Road Runners is a Running Club based in the east of Bristol, with our clubhouse in Oldland Common.
Founded in 1986, to help people better enjoy the sport of running, we are a friendly and vibrant Club, with around 200 members across our junior and senior sections.
Although we take our competitive running seriously, we also recognise that not everyone wants to run races, and that many people simply look to running as a great way to achieve a basic level of fitness.
Thus, we welcome runners of all abilities, from absolute beginners to elite-level racers – and our friendly, fully-qualified coaches are happy to provide relevant advice and guidance to all, whatever your running aspirations may be.
We also enjoy many varied social events throughout the year, allowing like-minded members to bond as both team-mates and friends.
Our Club is run by our committee, and committee members are always available to hear your requests, comments, or suggestions – the views of all our members being important to us.
Club-night runs are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week - with announcements at 6:50pm and all runs leaving the clubhouse at 7.00pm.
Additional coach-led sessions are provided, for beginners and less experienced runners, on Thursdays - but those who can run a minimum of 4 miles are welcome on either (or both) days.
